Dow Hyperlast has supplied DIPRANE™ and HYPERLASTt™ polyurethane casting systems to the roller
and materials handling industry for many years.
Based on this experience and market knowledge
Dow Hyperlast has developed in close contact with the market a range of rotational cast products
ROTAKOTE™ –
offers the roller manufacturer several advantages
over traditional casting systems.
The ROTAKOTE™ Range
Dow Hyperlast has developed a range of rotational cast urethanes for the production of industial
material handling rollers used in manufacturing such as the steel, paper and timber industries.
The roll covers produced from ROTAKOTE™ give excellent dynamic and heat stability. They provide
excellent abrasion and hydrolysis resistance.
Benefits of Rotational cast rollers:
Fast material preparation
No mould preparation
No postcure
Higher dynamic properties
ROTAKOTE™ K3
This is a rapid reacting, three component elastomer system. It has been designed to be applied as
a poured material onto a rotating core to produce a tough elastomeric roller covering suitable for
material handling rollers.
Applications:
Rollers coated with ROTAKOTE K3 are used in the material handling roller market; steel mills, paper
industry, wood industry.
The typical properties of the material, together with relatively its good temperature stability make
the product a good choice for this markets and applications.
Paper Industry:
To meet the demanding challenge presented by the paper industry Dow Hyperlast has developed
a series of materials across a range of P&J hardness to suit various applications within the paper
making process. |
