The Ultimate Over Coat for Marine Protection

Hyperlast Limited, the Birch Vale (UK) based polyurethane specialists have designed and manufactured the ultimate polyurethane marine spray coating. Protecting against the attritional forces of the sea, ‘Hyperlast’® polyurethane offers comprehensive protection for vital and exposed equipment such as rope and mooring lines, so improving their performance and longevity.

The polyurethane coating range has many other marine engineering applications and can be applied to nets, buoys, fenders, electro-mechanical cable protectors, and underwater structures. 'Hyperlast' polyurethane is resistant to water and oils, and it is extremely abrasion resistant above, below and in the splash zone. As such, it is the ideal material providing protection and durability whilst preserving the functional integrity and performance of the core.

“There are few harsher acting environments than the sea,” says Sales Director Mark Perry, “the battering from waves, constant immersion in salt water and pollutants quickly takes its toll on most materials. The 'Hyperlast' spray coating range has proven performance over many years - it is impact and wear resistant, defying sunlight, ozone and sea water,”

The spray-applied 'Hyperlast' polyurethane provides a long-lasting protective coat that is tough enough to withstand the marine environment and resist the growth of marine organisms. The application is easily spray applied, and because of its light-weight application buoyancy specifications are not affected.

Hyperlast Limited is a global preferred supplier of many polyurethane products for a very wide range of applications across all industry sectors. Part of the British Vita group, Hyperlast Limited is well known for its ‘Hyperlast Syntactic DW-512’® range of polyurethane elastomer that is engineered for the protection and insulation of the oil and gas industry’s deepwater flowlines.
